Ranch. There was compelling news for residents and lovers of precision
engineered automobiles recently on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Dimmitt
Automotive Group broke ground on their brand new Audi dealership in
Wesley Chapel. The ceremony, which took place on Monday, May 22, 2017,
was attended by a group of community dignitaries along with those
representing the families involved in this exciting new venture. The
dealership is yet another demonstration of the commitment the Dimmitt
family has to the automotive heritage in this region of Florida.
The
groundbreaking ceremony was hosted by Dimmitt CEO Scott Larguier. He
recognized company presidents Richard Dimmitt Jr. and Peter Dimmitt,
along with acknowledging those in attendance including Pasco County
Commission Chair Mike Moore, Locust Branch COO Scott Sheridan, and
Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce Chair Hope Allen. Special
recognition was given to JD and Bill Porter from Wiregrass Ranch, who
were so instrumental in working towards an agreement on the property
that would be mutually comfortable for all involved.
Hot and breezy conditions were at least somewhat tempered by canopies that
protected guests from the Florida sun. Larguier opened the ceremonies
by discussing the importance of the multi-generational links the Porter
and Dimmitt family businesses have in common in the area. He also
mentioned the significance of being good stewards of the communities of
which they serve. He added the news that, along with a beautiful new
facility, the Audi dealership would employ some 50 associates when it is
expected to open in November of 2017.
The ground
breaking ceremony took place at the future site of the dealership at
2500 LaJuana Blvd. in Wesley Chapel. When completed, the 40,000 square
foot facility is expected to have an art museum quality to it. The
design is created by architect Richard Bekesh, President of Spring
Engineering. Everything about the facility will be customer-centric. The
entire project is being referred to as a Audi Terminal. It is yet
another step in the Dimmitt Automotive Group's efforts to elevate the
car buying experience.
"The entire facility is
designed with the customer experience at its core." Larguier explained.
"The goal of the dealership is to provide Audi's most innovative retail
experience yet." As customers enter they will be greeted by the full
line of Audi vehicles, displayed as works of art in their own right.
Customers will be welcomed with luxury lounges with leather club chairs
and iPads. What visitors to the Wesley Chapel facility will not see is
the trappings of a routine, standard car dealership. There will be no
array of sales desks or telephones. The goal of the new Audi dealership
is to combine elegant interaction with these fine automobiles along with
advanced technology. It is a combination the Dimmitt Automotive Group
hopes the entire region will appreciate and enjoy.
At
the ground breaking ceremony Larguier also reminded those attending of
the mission statement of the Dimmitt Group saying "Our mission is to
improve the quality of life for our associates, our guests, and the
community through service, excellence and innovation."
The
Dimmitt Automotive Group has been a part of the Central Gulf Coast
community for generations. They now offer quality automotive products
from Cadillac, Land Rover, Jaguar, Toyota, Aston Martin, Bentley,
Rolls-Royce and McLaren. This latest addition, Audi, with the finest in
German engineering, is now a part of the family's legacy in the region.
